Wee Wee Hours of the Morning

Allie woke mommy at 4:00 this morning to let her know that the tinkle had escaped her nappy. So, this post is coming from the graveyard shift.

Yesterday Allie began to crawl as expected, hand over hand, knee in front of knee. She still throws in a donkey kick or two here and there. But she's a lot quicker now, so the gates are going up this weekend.

She also had another milestone...she became a Bible "patter"...almost. They teach the babies in Allie's cradle roll Bible class to "pat" the Bible. It's a way of teaching a love for God's word that is simple to grasp for babies. However, once Allie decided to pat the Bible like mommy, she began to bang on the book. Allie's "pat" is a veritable thrashing! Oh well, perhaps gentleness is a fruit of the Spirit coming soon.

The picture today is one of Little finger sucking around Grandmammas glasses chain... She doesn't want to suck on the glasses, only hold them while she enjoys her digits. She's also wearing the Pooh Bear hat from her Halloween costume. After a fitting, she didn't want to take it off. Go figure

And on that note, mommy goes back to bed. Snore.....................

Snaggle Toof

Well, it finally made its big premier, Allie's first tooth. As of yesterday, Allison Grace can be numbered amongst the tooth bearing mammals of the world. Sharp little booger too, casually teething on mommy's finger, Allie bit right through the skin! Yikes

On a side note, since little miss can sit herself up in bed and play, we installed her cot toys from England this week. Needless to say, as you can see from the pictures, they were a big hit. Thanks Besta and Aunt Shirley (Allie is loving her Giraffe too)!

Origional Recipe or Extra Crispy?

Yesterday, a Sunday, was the first time Allie sat through church without a peep. She slept for a while, but also sat beside mommy in the pew playing with her chicken. "Infantino" toys are just the best. Allie has played with the same rattling, crinkling, and jingling, cow, chiken, and pig since she was about 5 weeks old. Chicken used to be a mere visual stimulant. But now, his bright, crackly wings serve as a extra crispy chicken teethers. Which reminds me of how simular baby and puppy toys really are...

Allie presently naps peacefully in Grandmamma's pack'n'play. She'll be up and ready to play again soon. Oh the moment to moment excitement when you're a rather new person.

Walk This Way

Some babies crawl, some scoot, some creep on thier tummies by pushing with their feet. Then there's Allie, who trys to walk on all fours like a beast of burden. Convinced that she can not only walk, but also levetate and sometimes fly, this donkey crawl is what she must be satisfied with for the time.

I joke, but Allie truly amazes me every day. She does things with her little body that her daddy and I likely only learned when we were maybe...five. She sits up in the tub now and sits in the floor to play with her toys all by herself. She's one neato 6 month old. Everyday is a new adventure with a little person that changes and learns new things so quickly.

What and Why?

I guess this is probably a little late. Better late than... This is a web log about our Allison Grace for her extended family to keep up with her growth and everyday goings on. Allie has family as close as around the block and as far away as Northern Europe. So, this blog is a great way to keep her interested loved ones "posted".

This week Allie is a week away from 7 months old. She's been sitting sturdily since 6 1/2 months and babbling her mamamas and dadadas since 6 months. She's so strong and physical, last week she began sitting herself up from a laying position. And this week she sits up regularly to play in her bed. She's a funny and inquisitive little bitty who adores swinging and visiting her puppies in the back yard.

I hope to post regularly about Allie. But for now, goodnight.
